MRV certificates proves its merit in the management of the different areas of the Company. The Company has ISO (International Standardization Organization) category certificates that refers to a set of global standards for industrial quality standard and process management. Among them, MRV is certified by ISO 9001, which recognizes the establishment of criteria for an adequate management of the business with the main focus on customer review. For the environmental area, ISO 14001 establishes a broad Environmental Management System at construction sites in more than 160 cities where the Company operates. To preserve and care for its employees, the Occupational Health and Safety Management System is governed by the OHSAS 18001 certification. For the successful application and periodic renewal of the certificate, the teams of employees are involved in training and audits related to each one of the certified areas.
Regarding Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) policies, MRV has committed to the 2030 Agenda, having been a signatory to the United Nations (UN) Global Pact since 2015. In 2020, MRV became an institutional supporter of Rede Brasil do Global Pacto, the same year that the Company’s CEO, Eduardo Fischer, officially joined the UN’s “Leadership of ImPacto” program, being an important promoter of actions to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
Since 2015, MRV has been a “Zero Carbon” Company, since it has been compensating 100% of its direct CO2 emissions, in addition to all the electricity consumed, contributing positively to the climate change agenda. In 2020, the company joined the Commitment to the Climate Program, an initiative created by Itaú Unibanco and Natura, with the support of the Ekos Brasil Institute, to select projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and, in parallel, generate social and environmental benefits.
Also in 2020, MRV was recognized for its sustainable performance by CDP, a non-profit organization that aims to collect data from publicly traded companies to share their information on climate change actions. The Company was subjected to the evaluation, where it presented a positive result in relation to the engagement for climate change with the supply chain.
MRV’s ESG policies made the Company integrate, for the fourth consecutive year, the portfolio of the Corporate Sustainability Index (ISE) of B3, the São Paulo stock exchange, in January 2020. The Company was recognized for its practices in corporate governance, compliance, environmental and social sustainability, in addition to promoting economic efficiency of the business.
Relevant national and international organizations recognized MRV through awards in several areas in the years 2019 and 2020.
